Fire Risk Assessment

Fire Marque can carry out an impartial and independent Fire Risk Assessment of your premises, by a highly trained professional.  This will take the form of a formal visit to the premises to carry out an inspection which will normally be completed in one day.  Your premises will be subject to a detailed examination for compliance, according to the type of risks you have (sleeping or non-sleeping, number and ability of persons either employed or likely to be on the premises, storage of highly flammable substances and/or explosive materials etc). This will identify all risks from fire and give guidance on how they can be controlled. Following this risk assessment a detailed report will be produced, highlighting all points identified as not satisfactory (the significant findings).  These points will then be detailed within an ‘action plan’ with each item given a priority rating for completion.

A full fire risk assessment will be conducted of your premises, by assessors who are members of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers and associates of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, to establish your current situation within the following areas;

  1. Combustible, Flammable and Ignition Hazards

  2. Electrical Safety Hazards

  3. Active and Passive Fire Protection

  4. Evacuation and Escape Routes

  5. Fire Warning System

  6. Emergency Lighting System

  7. Fire Fighting Equipment

  8. Staff Training

  9. Arson Preparedness

  10. Contractors and Visitors

  11. Management Systems and Record Keeping

A full report is prepared identifying any areas of concern.  This is followed up by the production of an Action Plan, giving recommendations for improvement and prioritising the work required.
